Makeup For Older Women

No matter how much we might want to deny it, our faces change as we age. We have to adapt the type of makeup we wear and how we apply it to the changes Mother Nature makes to our features. If you are clever with your makeup you will be able to put on your makeup so effectively that no one will know that you are aging. You are capable of creating an illusion of youth.

Lips
One of the best things about aging is that you can finally throw away your lip liner. Instead of spending time carefully trying to outline your lips, go to your drugstore and purchase a stiff bristled brush. Use your new brush to carefully apply blush to the areas you previously outlined. The stiff brush will prevent your lip color from bleeding and feathering. You should also make sure you use a long lasting lip color.
Blush
Find a blush that is designed for long lasting wear and once you have placed it on your face make sure you leave it alone. When older woman frequently touch up their blush they find that they actually end up accenting the lines and crevices that they were trying to hide. Make sure you are using a translucent powder and use a powder brush to apply it.
Colors
Stay away from the bold and bright colors you were attracted to when you were a teenager. The key to makeup for older women is to enhance their natural beauty. If you are no longer sure what colors of makeup best suit your face you should seek the advice of a professional makeup consultant.
Eye Makeup Tips

If you are allowing your hair to gray you should select eye shadows that are pink or gray. Avoid using eyeliners and you should only use fake eyelashes if your own have fallen out. If you use an eyebrow pencil make sure the color matches your hair color.
The concealer is often the favorite item in the older woman’s makeup kit. Instead of acne the concealer can be used to hide wrinkles, lines, age spots, and patches of skin that have lost pigmentation.
